My talk will focus on introducing software solutions which can help law enforcement to recognize individuals in crowds using face recognition in footage recorded from CCTV cameras. The recognition software has the ability to identify individuals in the presence of disguises like head scarfs, glasses, breads, scarfs etc.
In addition, it is difficult put enough CCTV camera to monitor large crowds. I will also introduce a software which sits on top a drone to monitor large crowds to detect suspicious activities.
I think the biggest challenge for monitoring for suspicious individuals or events in large public spaces is crowd. It becomes quite difficult for law enforcement or these softwares to monitor crowded areas efficiently.
I think the best way to safeguard a property is to add more security apparatus to monitor the property. This can be either more law enforcement or more intelligent software systems. It is ideal to go for the software solutions as they can functions 24*7 effectively.
